You’ve come to right place.

Many graphic artists can design a website in PhotoShop, but are too busy to convert it into the languages browsers understand. My service will transform your beautiful static concepts into dynamic websites and WordPress themes. Not only will I convert your design to code, I can also fill in the content for you.

Insert page content ? $30-$10/per?

The conversion options:

PSD to HTML

This is where I take a PhotoShop document and transform it into a working website for the web. You can specify if you want your website coded in XHTML or HTML5. This will also include CSS and any Javascript.

PSD to WordPress

Just like the first service, I can go a step further and convert your design into a WordPress theme. WordPress is a CMS which allows anyone without HTML knowledge to edit their website's content.

About Javascript

If javascripts are needed, these will be added without charge. Standard scripts I include for free are: smooth drop menus, feature content/image sliders, clear field, browser fixes, tool tips, light boxes and smooth scrolling. Custom requests for scripting not in my library will be billed extra.

Turnaround time

Other conversion services pride themselves on fast turnaround times. We all know the difference between fast food from McDonalds and an upscale restaurant — the same applies to coding — good code takes time. My conversion service usually takes 7-10 business days, depending on the project.

Can I get a discount?

Yeah. Why not. 15% will be deducted from the final bill if you request two or more conversion jobs within a 28 day period. The discount will be applied to the final bill.

File resolution should be at 72 DPI

I've received files that were in 300 and 100 DPI requiring a resolution reduction. What usually happens after this is, text and graphics are altered and no longer sharp. If you're designing for the web, make sure your resolution is 72 DPI and you'll have crisp and sharp graphics.

Design everything you want to appear on your site

We convert designs to code, we do not improvise the design of any elements. Example: a designer requests drop menus yet they've created none in the file. In this case, we'll include a menu but the designer is best at determining how it should look. That means you'll have to include these elements in the PSD file for us to see. Here's a few elements to design and include:

  • Links/Menus i
  • Drop-down Menus i
  • Headings 1-3 and Tables
  • Form Elements i
  • Blockquotes
  • Item Lists i

Don't merge or flatten layers

Keep all layer effects (drop shadows, borders, etc) and text layers editable. This gives us the ability to understand what kind of font, line-height, size and color you want converted, otherwise we'll have to guess; and you want a pixel perfect design don't you?

Organize layers and remove the trash layers

Try to organize the parts of your web design in folders within your layer palette (Header, Sidebar, MainContent, Footer). You can also add the different page styles (aka templates) within the same file like: Category page, Search Results page etc.

When designing a website in Photoshop, often times there are layers that you no longer need. When the concept is complete, you should remove those layers so as to not confuse us as to which graphic layer we should convert.

That's all folks. I appreciate you choosing my service and I look forward to converting your designs
Neal Chester.
